Metal Building Colors from Carport Kingdom
When buying a metal building, most people start with a “function over form” mentality. In other words, they’re primarily concerned with how the new metal building will serve their needs, rather than how it looks. At some point in the process, however, those buyers start to think about how their structure can be customized so that it not only works great but looks great, as well. Luckily, we have a variety of metal building colors to choose from at Carport Kingdom to enhance your building design!
Carport Kingdom offers a variety of metal buildings that are affordable, durable, and fully customizable. Use our Build & Price Tool to explore the many possibilities for your new structure, and receive an instant quote!
Abundant Options
With some metal building suppliers, you will have minimal options in terms of the colors featured on your structure. That’s not a problem when you work with Carport Kingdom. In fact, we have 15 beautiful colors available, and each can be selected for either the roof or trim. So, if you already have a basic color scheme in mind for your new building, there’s a good chance you can make it happen with the colors we have on hand.
If you’re thinking of going in a neutral direction with your choices, we have plenty of subtle shades that will play a background role on your property. Those include colors such as Pebble Beige, Raw Hide, Earth Brown, and Clay. Other basic color options you’ll find in the Build & Price Tool include White, Light Stone, and Pewter Gray.
But what if you want to have a little more fun with your color selections? We are happy to say that our palette extends well beyond brown and gray tones. For example, Slate Blue is a particularly striking and eye-catching color, as are Barn Red and Royal Blue. Deep tones like Evergreen and Burgundy are also available.
The Right Combination
You’ll need to make two color choices for your new metal building, as the roof and the trim can each feature their own shade. Of course, if you’d prefer to go with a monochrome layout, you are free to select the same color for both. That can look great in some situations, especially if you’re going with a subtle shade.
However, to give your building more visual interest, consider picking two different colors so that one can play off the other. Often, this will mean using one bold color and one subtle shade to play a supporting role. You’re free to mix and match any way you like, but the list below highlights a few stylish combinations:
- Slate Blue roof and Pewter Gray trim
- Barn Red roof and Light Stone trim
- Evergreen roof and White trim
- Royal Blue roof and Light Stone trim
By spending some time experimenting with the Build & Price tool, you should be able to settle on a look that will be ideal for your needs. Of course, if you need any help along the way, don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist.
Consider the Setting
Before you confirm your color selections, think about where this building is going to live on your property:
- If it will be off on its own and well removed from any other buildings, you should feel free to pick just about any color combination you like.
- If it’s going to live close to another structure–like your home—it would be wise to think through how the colors of the two buildings are going to work together.
When coordinating colors between buildings, you have two general options: try to match up the colors or do something totally different so they don’t clash. Matching up the colors could be tricky, especially if the existing building has been standing for a while and the paint has weathered. It’s likely going to be easier to take a completely different approach with the new building.
So, if your current building has bold, bright colors, consider playing it more conservatively with the colors you pick on your metal structure. Conversely, if your home is a neutral shade like light brown or gray, think about being bolder on the metal with something like a blue or red.
